MAT 891 - High Performance Super 7/Pentium Processor SBC for PICMG™

The MAT891 provides a single slot solution for PICMG passive backplanes requiring the latest high performance processor. It includes AGP video, fast wide SCSI and 100 Mbit Ethernet.

The board is based on the high performance 266MHz Pentium MMX processor or the AMD K6-2 350MHz. It comes with 512K or 1 Mbyte of cache and up to 512 Mbyte (single slot) or 1Gbyte of SDRAM. Pentium II equivalent performance can be achieved with the benefits of the mechanical arrangements offered by socket seven.

The on-board Permedia Labs AGP video offers exceptional graphics for performance, with both 2D and 3D video acceleration. The processor performance can be maintained by using either 512K or 1M bytes of secondary cache and using SDRAMs, in either standard form with a maximum of 1G byte, or using the single slot SODIMM for up to 512M bytes.

High speed expansion to system peripherals includes support for the latest Ultra DMA EIDE. Where greater disk performance or expansion to more peripheral types is required there is ultra wide SCSI. The MAT891 also features:

- Ethernet expansion for 10 or 100Mbits

- support for 2 USB and an IrDA serial connection

- 2 serial, parallel, floppy, keyboard and mouse interfaces

- temperature and fan speed monitoring for applications monitoring

- a software watch dog
