AMD® K6-3 running on the MAT 891

The AMD® K6-3 is now supported on MAT 891 PICMG™ processor cards, running at 400, 450 or 500MHz.

The K6-3 is a high performance processor in the Socket 7 format originally established for the Intel® Pentium®processor.

Cooling arrangements for these processors are well established and accepted in harsh environments. The Socket 7 solution is also mechanically well-suited for use in rugged systems within harsh environments. The AMD K6-3 can offer a genuine performance increase at speeds up to 500MHz.

The MAT 891 is also available with K6-2 and Pentium processors.
